I carry a small thumb drive with me quite a bit of the time. This contains files and also my traveler version of Roboform (since I have hundreds of passwords that I use) just in case I am asked for something while I am on the road.

Well, I sometimes forget to take the thumb drive out of my pocket and it gets washed and dried. I hate to admit how often I do this. But I just pulled one out  of my dryer that handled all the water from the washing and all the heat from the dryer and to my surprise it is working just fine. This is the first one that I have ever had that made the trip.

It is a Kingston 512 MB thumb drive Model Number DTW512 and it is the king of thumb drives as far as I am concerned. So, if you are in the market for a thumb drive check out the Kingstons, they have my recommendation.

Well, hurricane season is making itself felt in my neck of the woods. Granted at this time it isn’t a hurricane just a tropical storm but you still have to prepare for the worst.

For the next 24 to 48 hours I will be getting ready for a storm that hopefully will never hit. But even if it comes close there is a possibility of loosing power for an extended period of time.

Just an update on what is going on with some of the upcoming sites.

Give Away Lists Is doing well but we have found a few bugs in the script and I want it perfect before it is launched. Since I will be out of my cave (going to a seminar in Seattle) in the beginning of July the site probably won’t start the pre-launch about a week after I get back. When the programmers get back to me on the bug problem I will have a better idea of when I will be able to start the pre-launch. I will post the dates here.

I have the first draught of my book on search engine optimization, “Common Sense Search Engine Optimization” completed. This is the first draught but since the script is holding me up on Give Away Lists I will probably have some time to work on it. When done I will be selling this book for $97.00.
I have also had request from a number of people to compile the tutorials I have made over the years in to one site where they can see them when they want. I will be doing this but it is on the back burner for right now. True I have the tutorials but they are  dated and need to be updated. I did register the domain www.marketingbeginners.com and I will be putting the up there but they will probably be updated versions, maybe even Camtasia videos. The idea I have is to work a site from beginning to end and let you watch over my shoulder while I create it. This will cover everything from obtaining the domain name, to promoting the site.

That’s right this Hermit left his island in the Caribbean and went up to Orlando. Why? To see what all the fuss was about with going to seminars.

The result of me going to Michael Penland’s Internet and Joint Venture Marketing Super Conference was that I am already looking for another seminar to go to. I know of one for sure I will be at in Baltimore in September, TIMME (The Internet Marketing Main Event) but I am also looking to schedule one in between now and then.

Again you might be wondering why – quite simply this was an invaluable resource, not just what I learned but also the people I met. For example David Watson, the IM Wizard, was a pleasure to meet and his tools come in quite handy for you marketing purposes.

Over all I met way to many people to list here and gained many, many resources and it was worth flying from the Caribbean to attend. You will find that almost all of the presenter, the “Gurus”, are down to earth people and are approachable and friendly. If you are polite about it the will even let you pick their brains. What more could you ask for?

All in all if a Hermit can get out and go to one what is stopping you?

Just an update to let you know what is going on. As was already reported the Marketing With Pixels site is up and running and I brokered a deal with the creators of the Million Dollar Page Script to allow me to sell the resale rights as part of my one time offer. It took some serious arm twisting to make this available and now I am just waiting for the advertising to kick in on May 15th to watch it take off. I was able to build a list of 300 people in the first week of operation with very little advertising and NO JV partners. Not that bad.

But that is old news this post is about the Sites under production. One is a site that will sell a membership site script. This script is being custom made for me and there will be a lite version and a couple of various upgrades and the full blown version.
