In 2019 the American Heart Association stated that there is no association between dietary cholesterol and cardiovascular risk. The previous year a landmark NIH study concluded the same thing. This is been widely covered elsewhere.
So why are we still required to put this on our label?
There seems to be a lot of inertia at the FDA in terms of revising dietary guidelines, and we understand that changing things is confusing for consumers.

But what we find slightly more frustrating is that there are well-established links between consuming foods high in dietary cholesterol and positive health benefits. These include creating an increased sense of fullness after consuming the same number of calories as well as supporting the synthesis of certain critical hormones.
