I am a huge snacker so I love mixing it up with other meat brands you see online. When I saw the IG ad for these I had to snag the 3 pack and see what they were like. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: the bag is small and that threw me off, and the smell is nightmare for kids but undeniably unique for folks like me who love the ocean. The texture is similar to those dried fruit leather treats but the flavor is unlike anything I’ve ever had before!
Based on flavor and texture I think the Thai Chilli and Ginger Scallion are both 1st place and the Italian Herb is still really good but takes the #2 spot. Honestly I have no clue what to compare any of them to because I’ve never had a flavor combo like these. It’s taken me about 2 weeks to finally finish the bags because I can have one piece as my daily snack and it’s SATISFYING. It’s like the Backrooms but pleasant: you don’t know why it feels so uncanny but somehow you want to explore more. Plus there isn’t some squid monster trying to kill you. These are definitely 5 stars and I’m going to have them in my rotation with my meat snax subscription as a bi monthly.
Size of bag is jarring, like I said, but the value is there, no doubt about it!
Tried the sampler and unfortunately the texture was not for me. It was extremely tough and difficult to chew. I also wasn't happy with any of the 3 flavors (Thai chili lime, Italian Herbs, and can't recall the 3rd). I couldn't even finish any of the bags.
Flavor is good, the texture is off-putting. It’s like a fruit roll up and I cannot put that texture together with savory profile. It’s not for me. Sorry.

I didn’t enjoy product nor did my husband, whom I bought it for because he is a pescatarian The smell was off-putting and the seasoning was way too much and the texture and size weren’t good either.

The seasoning was decent but Calamari has an awful taste and texture as jerky. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
